The film

A young woman with cerebral palsy wants to live on her own in Bologna. A student who is behind on her degree is about to be evicted. Their pact of convenience becomes a friendship that changes them both.

She has cerebral palsy, a family whose love is smothering and a dream: to work in radio. When she leaves her small town to sit an exam in Bologna, she meets Marta, a student who is behind on her degree, always broke and one step away from eviction.

The two strike a deal of convenience: one wants to live on her own in the city, the other needs money. What follows is a shared flat full of parties, misguided romances, activism and lies, until the truth forces them to stop running.

The directing debut of writer Giacomo Mazzariol is inspired by the true story of activist Elena Rasia. It was shot in Bologna, Pianoro and San Giovanni in Persiceto, on a set that was accessible at every stage of production.
